  2011 - HOUSE OF CASH

I can heard (in audio streaming) the complete CD that accompanies the book House Of Cash.- Is a wonderful CD, with several unreleased songs, all high level, in the style sound like Personal file (Bootleg I), But too is the style of American I, in the Rick Rubin Style: Only the Cash voice and the guitar.- That's all the sound. This style, evident especially in American I, is a recipe that Rick Rubin has given very good results .- Cash's voice is almost everything, and the accompanying guitar in the background. I think it's an excellent recipe.
I had the information about the root of the recordings. Many, in years like 1979 or 1976.- I do not think that the songs have come from a common source, although the sound is fairly even, and moreover, have criteria for choosing songs of similar style .- If I was told they are outtakes from Personal File, will be credible .-
I'll give my comments on each song, and cite the source from which, presumably, the song has been obtained .-
01 This are my people: Previously released in Personal File (Columbia/Legacy)
02 Sixteen Tons (*): May 13 1974? I don't know... But the version is wonderfull.- Much better to the version released, here with Cash singing alone, the guitar a far sound... Is the better song of the cd.-
03 Billy Brown (*) December 14 of 1979.- Is a great song, the guitar make a important intervention.-
04 If It Wasn't For The Wabash River (*) Unknow date.- Long introduction of Cash, to this beatiful ballad. Your voice is strong and clear.
05 Ridin 'On The Cotton belt (*) Febrary 18 of 1976? .- Other long introduction, and other beatiful ballad.- Why this, I think the critery to the compilation was uniform.-
06 While I've Got It On My Mind (*) 1975.- Beatifull vals.- I like this song.-
07 You're Home Sweet Home To Me (*) December 8 1976.- Other ballad, and similary concepts to me.- Wonderful.-
08 Kathy (*) I don't have date, but the sound is similary to Billy Brown.- That, I think the same date.- Sweet ballad.-
09 Sold Out Of flagpoles .- May 13 of 1974.- He has more Rhytmn than the rest, very nice and great voice
10 One Of These Days I'm Gonna Sit Down And Talk To Paul: Personal file 2007, and recorded in Febrero 18 1976.- Nice Ballad.
11 My Children Walk In Truth: May 13 1974.- Other song of Personal file.-
12 I'll Go Somewhere And Sing My Songs Again March 14 1980.- Other ballad.-
The information that I provided, spoke of two other songs that are not on this album:
1) Michigan City (May 13 1974)
2) House on the Hill (Personal File, 1973) Outtakes perphas?
Well, in general, is a compilation of ballads, characterized by the predominance of Cash's voice, with guitar as the only instrumental accompaniment with vocal brillance and selective unit .- It is a very good album .-
Thanks and greetings.- Fernando Gil.-
