Given their growing romantic relationship and the success of the single "Jackson" on the country charts, an album of duets with June Carter made perfect sense. Unfortunately, both artists made much better albums in their career. The album opening "Long-Legged Guitar Pickin' Man" and the aforementioned "Jackson" are classics, but not all of the material is up to those standards, or anywhere near them. The two Ray Charles covers are particularly ill-suited for this duo and "Fast Boat to Sydney," with it's references to "hoppin' like a kangaroo" is easily the most ridiculous song either of them ever recorded. But at least they were having fun, right?

 En vista de su creciente relación romántica y el éxito del sencillo "Jackson" en las listas country, un álbum de duetos con June Carter tenía mucho sentido. Desafortunadamente, ambos artistas hicieron mucho mejores álbumes en su carrera. El álbum abre "Long-Legged Guitar Pickin 'Man" y el ya mencionado "Jackson" que son clásicos, pero no todo el material está a dichas normas, o cerca de ellos. Las dos cubiertas de Ray Charles son especialmente poco adecuadas para este dúo y "Fast boat to  Sydney," con sus referencias a "Hoppin 'como un canguro es sin duda la canción más ridícula cualquiera de ellos que se haya registrado.Pero por lo menos se estaban divirtiendo, ¿verdad?
